—It has been reported on numerous sites that Irish wrestler Rebecca Knox — real name Rebecca Quin, has signed a development contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. The report originated from The Herald in Ireland, noting that this is a 2-year deal. Rebecca Knox made her in-ring return in 2012 at Fight Factory Pro-Wrestling (FFPW) in Bray, Ireland, after a long hiatus (Detailed Report of Rebecca Knox’s Return To The Ring).

—On April 6, 2013, in Secaucus, New Jersey, Shimmer Women Athletes presented Shimmer Volume 53 — live on Internet Pay Per View. In the main event was Saraya Knight defending the Championship against Cheerleader Melissa in a Steel Cage Match. In the end, Cheerleader Melissa picked up the win, making her the first 2-Time Shimmer champion in history. Saraya Knight reigned as champion for 384 days — after defeating Melissa on Shimmer Volume 48. Other highlights included the Shimmer Tag-Team Champions Canadian NINJAs defending the belts in a 4-team elimination match, and Amazing Kong making her Shimmer return.

5. Serena Deeb, Allison Danger & Leva Bates defeated Jessicka Havok, Nevaeh & Sassy Stephie.
6. Madison Eagles defeated Jessie McKay with the Hellbound
7. SHIMMER Tag Team Championship (Four-team elimination match): Canadian NINJAs (c) defeated Kellie Skater & Tomoka Nakagawa, Made In Sin (Allysin Kay & Taylor Made) & LuKana (LuFisto & Kana)
8. Athena defeated Ayako Hamada with an O-Face
9. SHIMMER Championship – Steel Cage Match: Cheerleader Melissa defeated Saraya Knight (c) w/ Air Raid Crash

Brodus Clay, Tensai & Naomi vs. Primo, Epico & Rosa Mendes

—Brodus Clay, Naomi and Cameron made their way to the ring with Tensai. The music of Primo, Epico and Rosa Mendes hit soon after, before Clay, Naomi, Tensai and Cameron even made it into the ring. Naomi and Cameron started the match, with Naomi getting the better of Rosa with her trademark Jumping butt bump and springboard crossbody. Epico got in the match, and got a hurricanrana courtesy of Naomi. Tensai and Primo mixed it up next, with Tensai controlling. Epico interfered, and we saw Naomi retaliate with a double baseball slide to both Epico and Rosa. Brodus Clay was tagged in, and him and Tensai hit a double splash on Primo, which led to Clay getting the pin…

Winner(s): Brodus Clay, Tensai & Naomi

After the match, all four partied in the ring.

Thoughts: Fun match… it was what it was meant to be, although the fans could have responded better. As always, it is great when we get to see Naomi in the ring, not so much for Rosa Mendes. Nice to see Naomi get offense on Epico, as we rarely see this with the WWE Divas.

–David McLane’s WOW Women of Wrestling returned on Saturday January 19, 2013. Women of Wrestling Superheroes took place at the Eastside Cannery in Las Vegas, NV. Returning, were favorites Lana Star—now WOW Champion, Jungle Grrrl (Erica Porter), Caged Heat, Jade, and more. The highlight of the show, was Amber O’Neal and Santana Garrett defeating Caged Heat to be crowned WOW Tag-Team Champions. Congratulations to Amber and Santana.


–On the Thursday’s January 24, 2013 episode of IMPACT WRESTLING on SpikeTV, Velvet Sky will receive her TNA Women’s Knockout Championship match against Tara.

–TNA released a video of “The Making Of The 2013 ShopTNA.com Knockout Valentines Day Video,” to YouTube. The video features Christy Hemme, Gail Kim, Taryn Terrell, Gail Kim, SoCal Val, Velvet Sky, ODB, Tara and Madison Rayne. The shoot had a Moulin Rouge theme, and was directed by Christy Hemme…

—Rebecca Knox will be returning to action on January 25, 2013, at Fight Factory Pro Wrestling. Rebecca will be in mixed tag-team action, with Katey Harvey on the opposing team. The male wrestlers in the match have yet to be announced.
