Knockouts – TNA Hardcore Justice 2012 Match:
TNA Women’s Knockout Championship
Madison Rayne vs. Brooke Tessmacher(c)

A video package of the events leading up to the match was played, followed by a tale of the tape. Madison Rayne made her way to the ring first, followed by Knockouts Champion Brooke Tessmacher.

The ladies began with a series of tie-ups, which led to Miss Tessmacher getting the better of Madison, who retreated to the outside of the ring. Madison was able to shoulder block Tessmacher on her way back into the ring, and proceeded to dominate the match in the minutes that followed. Tessmacher was able to make a comeback towards the end of the match. The finish saw Brooke Tessmacher hit a top rope elbow to Madison Rayne, in which she seemed to have had the win; however, Madison Rayne got her foot on the ropes. As Tessmacher complained to Hebner, Madison rolled up Tessmacher for the 1-2-3. Madison Rayne used to ropes for leverage to pick up the win…

Winner(s): Madison Rayne at 5:30

Thoughts: Congratulations to Madison Rayne on becoming a 4-Time TNA Women’s Knockout Champions. As most writers noted in the Roundtable (TNA Hardcore Justice 2012 Predictions), this match could have gone either way. Brooke Tessmacher’s reign lasted 63 days. Good match, but nothing spectacular. It should be interesting to see if there is any ramifications to Earl and Madison’s actions on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling.

QUICK RESULTS:

1–Tag Team match: Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez defeated Gunner and Kid Kash
2–Falls Count Anywhere match: Rob Van Dam defeated Mr. Anderson and Magnus

Roundtable – TNA Hardcore Justice 2012 Predictions: Miss Tessmacher vs. Madison Rayne… Who walks away Champion?

TNA Hardcore Justice 2012 Predictions

On August 2, 2012 on Impact Wrestling, Madison Rayne (Profile) won a 4-Way match against Gail Kim, Tara, and Mickie James, to become #1 contender for the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship. On August 12, 2012 at TNA Hardcore Justice 2012, Madison Rayne will challenge Knockouts Champion Miss Tessmacher (Profile & Pictures) for the belt. The outcome of the match can go either way.

Here are predictions from Lethalwow.com Writers…

Bobby Calloway: For this first title match, I think Brooke will retain. It’s just not good booking to trigger a title change on the first encounter, plus Brooke is in the midst of her first title reign and TNA do seem to be high on her. I doubt she’ll lose the title or if she’ll even continue to feud with Madison after the match is over. Since Madison now has Earl Hebner wrapped around her finger, I see things going one of three ways:

*Brooke Hogan steps in and stops Earl from being the referee for the match. She may even name a special guest ref such as Tara or even herself. Thus we get a sense of unpredictability, wondering if Madison can win the match on her own without Earl’s help.

*The match ends in a double countout or a No Contest. The women end up brawling to the stage and go past the ten count or else Madison uses a steel chair or something, thinking Earl will let it slide but he is forced to disqualify her. This serves as a building block to a second match. Perhaps the above scenario could take place at a second match?

*Earl screws Madison by helping Brooke to win. He reveals he knows that she’s playing him in order to win matches and won’t be fooled by her.

Whatever the case, I see Brooke walking out of the PPV still champion. I don’t know why but I just feel that this feud with Madison is filler to give Brooke one or two successful title defences to look strong before they have her feud with Tara. Perhaps even a triple threat given that Tara did technically win the #1 contender’s match last week?

Kevin Werleman: My predictions?… Madison Rayne in a scewy finish. It’s that time of the year again, for the repeat of last years, Winter-Mickie-Winter title change, I sense Madison picking up with win with help of Hebner, maybe Brooke Hogan calls out the screwy finish at impact and either Ms. Tessmacher is rewarded back the championship or they vacate it and we get a rematch and either woman wins. Either way, I’m 54% to 46% favoring Madison.

Charlie: I see Madison Rayne winning the match, but Brooke Hogan comes out, “fires” Hebner and re-starts the match. Brooke Tessmacher then ends up winning after her new Elbow Drop or Reverse DDT maneuver.

Arron Carlton: This match can go either way, this is TNA after all. Like Kevin said, last year’s Winter-Mickie title exchanges is a prime example.

While TNA may be high on Brooke Tessmacher, Madison Rayne has been the forefront of the Division on many occasions, and for a long time, held the title of longest reigning Knockouts Champion. It would be no surprise if TNA wanted to crown her a 4-Time Knockouts Champion.

My honest opinion is either ladies can walk away Champion, the knockouts division has not particularly been predictable. However, I will go with Brooke Tessmacher. I will give the edge to the Champion, and considering that Madison Rayne has already had two screwy finishes, it seems too predictable to have her win again. Although, the build up to Madison’s crush has spanned numerous weeks… winning the title would be a huge payoff.

TNA Hardcore Justice 2012, will take place on August 12, 2012—at the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida on Pay-Per-Veiw.

Impact Wrestling – August 2, 2012 Knockouts Results: Madison Rayne becomes #1 contender

Madison Rayne becomes #1 contender

On the August 2, 2012 edition of Impact Wrestling, Mickie James, Tara, Madison Rayne and Gail Kim competed in a 4-Way match, to determine Brooke Tessmacher’s opponent at TNA Hardcore Justice…

Knockouts – August 2, 2012 Impact Wrestling Match:
TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Match:
Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim vs. Mickie James vs. Tara

—Christy Hemme introduced Knockouts Champion Miss Tessmacher, who joined the commentators for guest commentary. Tara came out to the ring next, followed by Madison Rayne with a teddy bear in hand. A recap of last week’s questionable finish was played, followed by Gail Kim making her entrance. Mickie James was out last for this match. The match began with Gail Kim going at it with Tara, and Mickie going at it with Madison Rayne. This match saw Madison Rayne and Madison Rayne work together throughout to dominate Mickie and Tara. Tara seemed to have everything under control at the end, until Madison stopped her from attempting a moonsault… Tara found herself getting a top rope suplex from Gail Kim, which took her out of the match. Mickie James then seemed to have things going her way, until being thrown off the top ropes by Gail Kim. Tara returned to action with a Widow’s peak to Kim. She then rolled up Madison Rayne and looked to have won the match. Unfortunately for Tara, Earl Hebner called the match in Madison’s favor…

Winner(s): Madison Rayne at 7:27

Also on the show, Brooke Hogan returned to Impact Wrestling, involved in the Aces and Eights storyline.

ODB and Eric Young were also involved in a backstage segment. ODB talked about them not defending the Knockouts Tag-Team Championships in 2 months.

Thoughts: This match had shaky spots, as would be expected from a 4-Way. But as usual, great job by the ladies. The match’s outcome was predictable—considering Madison’s recent angle with Earl Hebner, but the outcome at TNA Hardcore Justice, not so much. The match could go either way… Miss Tessmacher successfully defending the belt, or Madison Rayne becoming Knockouts Champion.

As for the Knockouts Tag-Team titles, at least the belts were acknowledged. It is unclear if the segment meant that something would be done with the belts, or if the segment was an excuse for the belts not to be defended.
