TNA Sacrifice 2012 – Knockouts Results: Gail Kim versus Brooke Tessmacher

Gail Kim vs. Brooke Tessmacher

—A recap of Brooke Tessmacher’s road to becoming #1 contender for the Knockouts Champioship was played, followed by a Knockouts “Tale of the Tape.” Brooke Tessmacher then made her way to the ring, followed by Knockouts Champion Gail Kim. Gail Kim shoved Brooke down as the bell rang, and took the fight to Brooke. Tessmacher was able to recover, and hit some offense—including a hurricanrana, before Kim retreated to the outside. After getting back on the apron, Brooke brought Kim in the hard way—by flipping her over the top ropes, and continued to dominate. Gail Kim was finally able to regain control, and dominate in the moments that followed. Tessmacher was later able to make a comeback; however, she lost some steam after hitting a top rope elbow drop on Kim. Gail used the opportunity to attempt her finisher, Brooke instead reversed it, and hit Kim’s Eat-Defeat. The move sent Kim to ringside, unfortunatly for Tessmacher who had the match won. Back in the ring, Kim was able to use a cheap roll-up to pick up the win…

Winner(s): Gail Kim at 6:57

Thoughts: The right woman won this match, bringing Kim’s reign to 182 days. If Gail Kim can manage to hold the title pass this week, she will beat Madison Rayne’s record, for longest reigning Knockouts Champion. Overall, another good match from the Knockouts. It was a great move by TNA to give Gail Kim a lengthy reign.
