Stardom Results: Alpha Female Makes History, Hatred/Kimura Win Tag Titles

hatredalphaAlpha Female etched her name in Joshi history earlier today by becoming the first European to hold a major women’s championship in Japan, when she ended Nanae Takahashi‘s 602-day reign as World of Stardom Champion.

After the match, Alpha, who remains undefeated in the promotion, humiliated Takahashi by draping the German flag over her body. Takahashi, who became the inaugural champion on July 24th, 2011, was visibly upset with her loss, breaking down in the middle of the ring and apologising for her failure, before being consoled by the rest of the roster.

Earlier in the show, which took place at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, the other members of Alpha’s heel stable Kimura Monster-gun enjoyed yet more success, as gaijin supreme Hailey Hatred and stable leader Kyoko Kimura defeated Natsuki*Taiyo and Yoshiko to become the new Goddesses of Stardom Champions. Hatred now holds four different titles simultaneously, and the ridiculous thing is that that’s actually pretty low by her standards!

The final member of Kimura Monster-gun, “Amazon” Ayesha Ray, also continued her impressive start to life in Stardom, by defeating Act Yasukawa, Kaori Yoneyama and Yuhi in a four-way match. Elsewhere on the card, the soon-to-be-retiring Wonder of Stardom Champion Yuzuki Aikawa received only the fourth singles loss of her career against Meiko Satomura, while Kairi Hojo and Natsumi Showzuki won a five-team Tag Team Gauntlet Match, defeating Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani in the final bout.

Lineup for Pro Wrestling: EVE “Special Edition II: War Games”

The battle lines have been drawn for Pro Wrestling: EVE’s February 23rd show, “Special Edition II: War Games”, with Nikki Storm and Alpha Female both hoping to lead their respective teams to victory in a titanic main event.

The “War Games” match sees Storm join forces with “Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” Shanna and the team of Ama-Reilly (“Amazon” Ayesha Ray and Rhia O’Reilly) to take on Alpha Female and her partners April Davids
 and She-X (Viper and Bete Noire) inside a steel cage. One woman from each team will start, with the other competitors entering in turns over the course of the match. All eight of these women have scores to settle with members of their opposing teams, and if Alpha and Storm’s epic encounter at Wrestle-Fever in November is anything to go by, and with no escape and no respite from the unforgiving cage, we can expect this to be a brutal one.

Two important stipulations for this match will be decided earlier on in the show, as Storm takes on Davids in singles action to determine which team will have the numerical advantage as far as order of entry is concerned, while Shanna goes up against Alpha Female, with the winner deciding which two wrestlers will start the match.

Also, the last quarter-final match of the EVE Tag Team Championship tournament will take place, as Blue Nikita teams up with the debutante from Spain Raquel Arijon to form the new team of the Blue Haze Assassins, who will face an as yet unannounced pair for the remaining place in the semi-finals.
